“We used ACP for weeknight electrostatic spraying during the pandemic - a full year from May 2020 to May 2021. They came in after hours M-F to spray, so the few of us in the office throughout this time period remained protected, even as we socially distanced. The staff was always very responsive to Emails, and were very cognizant of the security protocols we had in place for entering the office. I highly recommend ACP!”

What You Need To Know About Coronavirus!

➤ Urgent Care and Healthcare Facilities Potential Sources of Exposure.
+In assessing potential hazards, employers should consider whether or not their workers may encounter someone infected with COVID-19 in the course of their duties. Employers should also determine if workers could be exposed to environments (e.g., worksites) or materials (e.g., laboratory samples, waste) contaminated with the virus. Depending on the work setting, employers may also rely on the identification of sick individuals who have signs, symptoms, and/or a history of travel to COVID-19-affected areas that indicate potential infection with the virus, to help identify exposure risks for workers and implement appropriate control measures. The CDC, EPA, and OSHA websites have updated information that should be relied upon to determine the best course of action for your business. The minimum you should be doing to fight the Coronavirus COVID-19 virus is daily/ nightly Sanitation or Disinfecting to assist with the remediation/ mitigation of the potential spread of this deadly virus.
➤ ACP Facility Services Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Safety Program
+This safety program provides information for ACP Facility Services, Inc. employees, and personnel about the evolving coronavirus outbreak first identified in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. The information serves as interim guidance and provides other resources for preventing exposures to, and infection with, the novel coronavirus—now officially named COVID-19.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Chinese authorities identified the new coronavirus, which has resulted in confirmed human infections in China and a growing number of other countries, including the United States. Infected patients have also spread the virus to healthcare workers.
For the COVID-19 virus to spread, it relies heavily on sustained human-to-human transmission. Without a sustained human-to-human transmission, most American workers are not at significant risk of infection. Exposure risk may be elevated for some workers who interact with potentially infected travelers from abroad, including those involved in:
Healthcare
Deathcare
Laboratories
Airline operations
Border protection
Solid waste and wastewater management
Travel to areas, including parts of China, where the virus is spreading
Coronaviruses (CoV) are a broad family of viruses names after the crown-like spikes on their surface. They typically cause mild to moderate upper respiratory tract disease in humans but can also cause more severe infections such as pneumonia and other lower respiratory tract infections. Some coronaviruses can be transmitted from animals to people. COVID-19 is believed to be zoonotic (meaning animal to human transmission); where the source of the spread is initiated. So far, the people infected have has pneumonia, but otherwise mild symptoms with only a lower percentage of deaths that other coronavirus infections, with 10-20% of those infected requiring hospitalization for more severe forms of the disease. The purpose of this safety program is to provide a combined resource for the background, hazard recognition components, medical information, applicable standards, control, and prevention for COVID-19 particularly as
they pertain to the scope of work for ACP Facility Services, Inc. employees and clients alike,

➤ What do we do to help with Sanitation, Disinfecting, and Remediation of COVID-19?
+- Community facilities (e.g., schools, daycares centers, businesses) comprise most non-healthcare settings that are visited by the general public outside of a household.
- Cleaning refers to the removal of dirt and impurities, including germs, from surfaces. Cleaning alone does not kill germs. But by removing the germs, it decreases their number and therefore any risk of spreading infection.
- Disinfecting works by using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs. But killing germs remaining on a surface after cleaning further reduces any risk of spreading infection.
We utilize an innovative Electrostatic Sanitizing System (ESS) that kills 99.9% of bacteria, germs, and viruses.
These sprayers use a magnetic charged spray that can cover over 18,000 square feet per hour providing fast, 360-degree coverage for your buildings.
Spray coverage is the uniformity of spray droplets on target surfaces. Electrostatic sprayers achieve greater spray coverage by combining air turbulence with tiny, evenly-sized spray droplets.
-
➤ What is ESS Disinfecting or Sanitizing?
+Measures for protecting workers from exposure to, and infection with, the novel coronavirus, COVID-19 depend on the type of work being performed and exposure risk, including potential for interaction with infectious people and contamination of the work environment.
ESS Electrostatic Sprayers provide a revolutionary spraying technology that can be used for the decontamination of interior and exterior areas. Using an electrically charged spray and air-assist, the charge of the droplets creates a force 75 times greater than gravity and will provide 360-degree coverage of all objects in a room. This allows de-contaminant to reach the backside and undersides of a contaminated object with the positively charged particles that aggressively adhere to surfaces and objects by wrapping around them, which means less de-contaminant is needed to decontaminate structures and equipment. ➤ What Disinfectant Do You Use?
+We use Hospital Grade effervescent sanitizing tablets that kill 99.9% of viruses, germs, and bacteria within 4 minutes and is approved by the CDC for Coronavirus.
Ensure that environmental cleaning and disinfection procedures are followed consistently and correctly.
Routine cleaning and disinfection procedures (e.g., using cleaners and water to pre-clean surfaces prior to applying an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant to frequently touched surfaces or objects for appropriate contact times as indicated on the product’s label) are appropriate for SARS-CoV-2 in healthcare settings, including those patient-care areas in which aerosol-generating procedures are performed.
Refer to List N on the EPA website for EPA-registered disinfectants that have qualified under EPA’s emerging viral pathogens program for use against SARS-CoV-2.

➤ Cleaning and Disinfection After Persons Suspected/Confirmed to Have COVID-19 Have Been in the Facility
+Timing and location of cleaning and disinfection of surfaces
At a school, daycare center, office, or other facilities that do not house people overnight:
It is recommended to close off areas used by the ill persons and wait as long as practical before beginning cleaning and disinfection to minimize the potential for exposure to respiratory droplets. Open outside doors and windows to increase air circulation in the area. If possible, wait up to 24 hours before beginning cleaning and disinfection.
Cleaning staff should clean and disinfect all areas (e.g., offices, bathrooms, and common areas) used by the ill persons, focusing especially on frequently touched surfaces. At a facility that does house people overnight:
Follow Interim Guidance for US Institutions of Higher Education on working with state and local health officials to isolate ill persons and provide temporary housing as needed.
In areas where ill persons are being housed in isolation, follow Interim Guidance for Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection for U.S. Households with Suspected or Confirmed Coronavirus Disease 2019. This includes focusing on cleaning and disinfecting common areas where staff/others providing services may come into contact with ill persons, but reducing cleaning and disinfection of bedrooms/bathrooms used by ill persons to as needed.
In areas where ill persons have visited or used, continue routine cleaning and disinfection as in this guidance.

➤ Additional COVID-19 Considerations for Employers.
+Employers should work with their local and state health departments to ensure appropriate local protocols and guidelines, such as updated/additional guidance for cleaning and disinfection, are followed, including for identification of new potential cases of COVID-19.
Employers must ensure workers are trained on the hazards of the cleaning chemicals used in the workplace in accordance with OSHA’s Hazard Communication standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).
We utilize an innovative Electrostatic Sanitizing System (ESS) that kills 99.9% of bacteria, germs, and viruses.
The American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Center for Biocide Chemistries (CBC) has compiled a list of products that have been pre-approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use against emerging enveloped viral pathogens and can be used during the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. This product list is not exhaustive but can be used by business owners, health professionals, and the public to identify products suitable for use during the COVID-19 situation.

➤ Process for Manual Post-Confirmed (or Suspected) Novel Coronavirus(COVID-19) Cleaning /Disinfection
+- The cleaner will apply approved cleaning/disinfection product onto the cleaning rag (will vary in color depending on the location of cleaning/disinfection (i.e. restrooms, cafeterias, offices, etc.).
- The cleaner will wipe down all applicable surfaces (with emphasis placed on key touchpoints throughout the area(s) – i.e. doorknobs/door handles, handrails, desk counters, water faucets, etc.).
- Disinfecting wipes are recommended to keep all surfaces sanitized and prevent the spread of germs.
- Remove safety goggles first, for either disposal or decontamination.
- Dispose of all product application rags/materials (if applicable) used during the disinfection of surfaces.
- Remove gloves by turning them inside out into each other and disposing of along with any product application rags/materials.
- Non-biohazard related discarded items are to be discarded in a plastic bag, to be tied-off after all application materials have been placed within.
The following is the step-by-step process for the cleaning/disinfection of areas either suspected to be contaminated or confirmed to be contaminated with the COVID-19 virus. These steps will outline the required materials and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for this process at each step.
Notification / Evacuation – Once your company has confirmed the presence (or suspected presence) of COVID-19, the most important thing to do is notify all applicable personnel. Depending on the circumstances, the location may need to be evacuated. It is important to note that no ACP Facility Services, Inc. personnel may enter the area to disinfect until the area(s) have been completely vacant for a minimum of 24 hours.
Initial Setup / Coordination – Once a minimum of 24 hours of vacancy has been achieved, the ACP personnel will assess the level of coverage the cleaning/disinfection will require. The responding team (in collaboration with the EHS Department) will need to define and assess how many cleaners will be required, the square footage of the areas to be disinfected, and the chemicals/materials which will be needed to clean/disinfect the area.
Cleaning / Disinfection Process – After the initial setup and coordination have taken place, the cleaners will be able to enter the afflicted areas. For this task the cleaners (at a minimum) will be required to wear the following PPE:
Nitrile Gloves (disposable)
Safety Goggles (not glasses)
Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) Kits (if human blood, certain bodily fluids, or other potentially infectious materials exist)
They will be entering the afflicted area(s) with the pre-approved cleaning/disinfecting agent(s) (will vary depending on availability). Only the CDC’s / EPA’s Registered Antimicrobial Products will be used during this process. Manually applied cleaning/disinfection occurs through the use of primary chemical containers, pumps, and Ready-To-Use (RTU) dispensers. The cleaning/disinfection process itself will be performed as follows:
The cleaner will follow all post-cleaning / decontamination procedures, as outlined below.
Post- Cleaning / Disinfection & De-Gowning – After the afflicted areas have been disinfected, the Post-Cleaning /Disinfection process must be initiated, which primarily includes de-gowning and disposal of potentially contaminated PPE and materials. All materials/gear must be disposed of or disinfected, prior to cleaners exiting the affected areas. When de-gowning the cleaners must:
**Important Note – If a BBP Kit was used in the process, all accompanying materials must be discarded separately in the red “Biohazard” bags provided within the kit. The “Biohazard” bags are to be discarded separately from the other bags which were not used for the disposal of Bloodborne Pathogens, in accordance with proper location policies and procedures for disposal. **
